You don't trade two second round picks for a stopgap veteran that's going to be here 1-2 years. That's just crazy. Reid has committed to Smith being the starter. Smith will be here as the starter for as long as the fan base will tolerate it. This is Matt Cassel and Pioli all over again.
It's obvious that Reid thinks this team can win right now. And he thinks Smith is good enough to win with. I personally think Reid is a ****ing idiot.
