I feel like the 49ers are in a weird spot. I love Cam Newton, and should probably just pick him here because I think he'll be a hell of a quarterback, but I just don't think he fits Harbaugh's scheme. So, I'll go with the best player available.

With the 7th pick, the 49ers select Marcell Dareus. This is a guy who is very versatile, and could likely man the nose or end in the 3-4. For the 49ers, it gives them one of the best defensive lines in football with Franklin on the nose and Justin Smith and Dareus on the ends.

Really wanted this pick to be Peterson or Miller, but Dareus is a nice get here.
