I think the display of solidarity among this group right now is because Ned knows his job is tied to the hitting coach hire and Moore knows his is tied to Yost's.
There's been too much failure for these guys to be able to fire someone else to save their jobs at this point, IMO.

It's a no win situation if Moore keeps Ned. Ned will keep on losing and both will be on the unemployment line at the end of the year. But there's at least a chance even though small that the interim coach Moore hires will win with this team. I think Moore would be stupid not at least take that chance. That could save his job.
