I'm a bit more conflicted about Copa America being in the US. I'd LOVE to see a joint Americas, fifa sanctioned tournament. But if none of the teams can get players released...what's the point.
I don't think either side will ever give up Copa America or the Gold Cup, but I'd love to do an Americas wide tournament once every four years. The Gold Cup is so ****ing boring; I'd love to have fun host sights to travel to every four years.
The problem is that the two confeds don't match very well. COMEBOL has a lot of quality teams, while Concacaf is largely shit. Figuring out qualification would be a bit of a logistical nightmare.
