they say that online only is to keep people from playing offline and then getting upset because their offline characters don't port over to online. I think we all know that's bullshit. It's because online only makes it dramatically harder to pirate.
If it works then all games with start being made that way.
Same way the double/triple dipping has become all the rage.
1. buy the game for $50
2. pay $10 monthly online fee
3. pay for DLC
They will keep squeezing as long as people keep paying.
