I think it's pretty funny that the NFL has these rules still.

back in the day, the folks of KC and the outlying areas had limited options for their entertainment options. Now, we have the T-bones, Speedway, Mavericks, Sporting KC etc.

if the Chiefs were to be blacked out, I'd guess there aren't a ton who would give a shit. Back when I was in High School, Chiefs football was the ONLY thing to look forward to from a sports perspective.

Not to mention, nearly an entire generation of Chiefs fans who only know them as a very average team, with a few playoff apearances sprinkled in every 5 years or so.
