The bigger screen sounds nice though, and from reading up on it a bit, it's got a better battery life than the original 3DS.

the screen is just different. Or it was then. And pretty sure the screen on the one I bought was the same size. Hers is a dsixl.
The screen on hers is like the screen on a smart phone/glass.
The screen in the other one was rough and I could see the texture even with the game on.
This was a while back though. I would go look at them in person
