They talk about second chances but took the safe route at QB, the most important position on the field. No guarantee that Alex Smith is able to come close to the level of production he had with SF in the last two years, especially given that Andy Reid cannot force himself to call run plays with any consistency. We will be mediocre for five years. Just enough for the guys at the top to keep their jobs.
