But, IMO, you need an all pro type guy at every level.
Lets take the Chiefs defense.
You have Flowers and Berry in the dback field who have that type of ability, and yes I think Berry is finally getting back from injury.
You have DJ, Hali, and Houston in the middle. All three are great players, which is another reason you don't spend a high pick on another MLB, when you just need a solid guy there. You don't need a star, but a solid Larry Foote type player. (Shane Skov btw, check him out)
Up front, you have Poe, who I actually believe might turn out to be Pioli's best pick, who has the ability to take that next step and he the pass rusher up front we need.
So you have guys at every level with that type of abiltiy, they just need to be surrounded with solid players and not be playing in a scheme thats not ****ing stupid like the 2 gap 34.
Offensively, an oline of Albert, Allen, Hudson, Asamoah, and Winston is a great start. YEah you need Asamoah and Allen to get their shit together, but offensive line stability is a finicky thing and I'm actually pretty sold on the fact that a QB with knowledge of how to play QB wouldn't significantly improve that unit.
Then you have Charles, who's a stud, and Bowe who's a stud.
So you've got the star power you need, or IMO you do. That inlies Pioli's biggest mistake. He didn't fill the other positions around these guys with complementary players. And of course the QB position destroys anything this team does.
I'm just amazed at how much QB play and coaching have affected this team.
