Assuming you're playing on a console, so you probably can't do this, but what I'll do on PC is move my save files from the game's save folder to another, isolated location. So I still have the saves, but I don't have to rifle through them.

(I'm OCD about saves - in every game I play I'll do a new save every time I begin a new quest or enter a new area)
