I just purchased a new Gateway 520 cse laptop. It seems to be alright. It has a Lithium Ion battery.
I have searched in my manuals and on the net, but have yet found the answer to my question. Here goes.

My laptop will be plugged in most of the time, therefore the battery will propably always be charged fully. I would like to know if leaving it plugged in all the time will overcharge the battery or does it quit charging when full charge is reached. I did read where the lithium ion batteries are not memory resident which is a good thing.

I know I should propably use the battery once in a while just to keep things working like they should.
