It remains an enormous IF that all of Lynch, Goff, and Hackenberg declare as Juniors. All could use development yet as a Senior. IF all three declare, then you have a decent top end to the class. IF not, you have Connor Cook and a whole bunch of nothing. Depending on what happens with this whole situation, I think you could see Hogan and Kessler overdrafted. In either scenario, I don't see any of the top QBs making it into the 20's, where I expect KC to be selecting, with the exception of Hackenberg who I'm not taking in round 1. I'm also not taking Hogan nor Kessler nor any other QB I haven't listed here in round 2. Well MAYBE Hogan, but I need to see more. Far too many significant flaws reserved for 4th to 5th round guys you take a flier on being a capable backup.
As a matter of fact, this draft seems to be very reliant on Junior declarations to make it even remotely worthwhile. It could end up eerily similar to the 2013 draft. I don't think there is enough talent to push teams away from taking QBs early if they do declare.
