I completely disagree, although I admit I can see why someone would think this. When he get high on coke in the first ep and scares the shit out of his nephew, I laughed my ass off. McBride is great and Will Ferrell was awesome as Ashley Shaffer. I can't wait for him to be on again. I bet there will be plenty more great guest stars to come.
