Funny Story if you know the individuals involved.
Kevin Smith recently recounted that, first off it's established that his parents were in home nudists, slept in the nude, watched TV, lounged around, ate meals, etc. He'd always have to warn them if friends were coming over. Funny enough in itself, but old news.
But he said his friend Scott Moser [longtime friend and collaborates on every movie] was over and they were working on editing Clerks. It got late and they went to bed, the next morning Scott woke up just as Kevin's mom was leaving the bathroom. She passed by the bedroom just as he was looking out from in bed. She noticed him, startled, and struck that very pose.
Dunno, maybe it's better when Kev tells it. Just wanted to lighten the mood.
