Hey, even NASCAR went through this a Jimmy Johnson started winning it all and looked to be that way for years to come. He came to the track, he won, he smiled a bit and said, "Yay Lowe's and my team", then went home until the next race. He left a hole in what "the sport" could fill with the times they sport wasn't "in session".
So it's all over, folks like their stars to be celebrities too...
