It just struck me as funny, as it would for the rest of everyone who knows who Steve Earle is. It'd be like explaining who David Johansen is by referring to his role as villain Tommy Thanatos in the Hulk Hogan vehicle,
Mr. Nanny, instead of referring to his being the lead singer of the New York Dolls.
