I appreciate the issues of using a mobile device to play the game. I know that I can't scroll on most of the pages, so the functionality is pretty limited. But I expect that with a mobile device. I can't check the webmail version of my nfl-forecast/sandbox simulations using my mobile device. On Chiefsplanet, I can't scroll down to reply to a long message. I also can't edit part of a word. Browsing with a mobile device is just a shitty experience. I know lots of people use nothing but mobile, but I could never do that -- it's barely functional.
I don't think apps help that much. Every app I've tried is such a scaled down version of the full version that I always opt for the full version. Plus an app has to be written from scratch. Sandbox is pretty complicated, both from user functionality, and the amount of code. I won't be writing an app for Sandbox anytime soon.
I blame the device makers. I'm not sure of the technical problems with developing something that behaves like a full browser on a mobile device. But it seems like a tablet should have full browser capability.
