Teams are actually getting away from the 3-4. The 3-4 used to have some value because the tweeners/NT's used to slip in the draft. Once everyone switched to the 3-4 everybody was fighting over the same scheme specific players and players that would have slipped in the draft were now going higher and higher.
Denver, Buffalo, NE, Miami, Jacksonville, and the Browns have all went back to the 4-3 in recent years.
