I wanna see there last ever club show. Oh wait, I did!
Well, not exactly. It was May 1 '96 in NYC and it was supposed to be their final show. Killed a few people for tickets, waited for hours to get in, when I wasn't hanging off of the speakers on side of the stage I was standing with Deborah Harry catching the last half of this magnificent performance. A few weeks later they decided to finish another leg of the tour with a dozen or so more shows.
So no, it wasn't the actual final show but it was pretty damn fun. Not only did I hang out with Blondie for a bit, I did get a chance to chat with Marky and spent a bit of time with Merle Allin. If you know who Merle Allin is you're ok in my books.
