He would have had a borderline case if he could have made it to 400 HR. Would have put him into that Jim Edmonds-tier.
Dye was one of my favorite guys. Just loved watching him play. He retired so abruptly and received so little interest... makes me wonder if there was something else at play there (undisclosed incident of some sort - steroids, hushed-up domestic incident, etc).
