I hate to be the guy to make a serious post in a troll thread, but this one seems to have less 49er AIDS, so I'll make it here:
Most of the Alex Smith critics don't disagree that he can help KC win regular season games. He can.
A good game manager paired with a good defense and running game can win a lot of regular season games. I don't think anyone knows that better than KC fans.
It's the end-of-regular-season expiration date we've seen on that formula that has many of skeptical (We are Charlie Brown, finally telling Lucy to piss off with that football/retread QB).
That's why I'm skeptical. That's why I'm reserving judgment. That's why I will have to see Alex Smith elevate his play before I will believe THIS time is different. I don't think that's an unfair place to come from.
