If you have any appreciation for old school "outlaw style" honkytonk you need to know Jamey Johnson. I know a couple of you do... KC Tat and lew I think anyway.

JJ is heavily influenced by Waylon Jennings. Writes all of his own stuff and brings a truth back to country that has mostly been lost these days. He's kind of a musical hero of mine. Doesn't play by Nashvilles rules in the least... which means he's more of a cult favorite and not so much a radio hit guy but that makes me love him even more.

The album "That Lonesome Song" won the grammy for best country album a few years ago. This song was a minor radio hit. The first time I heard it I came home from work and looked it up and probably listened to it 20 times and became the huge JJ fan I am now.

The song isn't really 7 plus minutes long btw... dead space at the end of the vid.
