Good recruiting news won’t stop coming for Mizzou

Terry Beckner has a nice group of top schools chasing him, and he really didn’t show his hand a lot–at least not until today.
Beckner’s head football coach told 247Sports.com the Tigers could be considered an early leader in the mix for the five-star defensive lineman. LSU, USC and Ohio State are just a couple of other schools chasing him down. His coach, Darren Sunkett of East St. Louis (Ill.), also said he thinks Beckner (6-4/295) wants to play in the SEC. And of course, East St. Louis is closest to Mizzou.
Mizzou received a commitment from Beckner’s prep teammate and four-star RB Natereace Strong on Tuesday and another Wednesday night when four-star QB Drew Lock made it official. The good recruiting news keeps pouring in for a program that isn’t used to getting this much pub for elite national talent–all in the same week.
Beckner was on Mizzou’s campus for an unofficial visit this week, witnessing Strong’s commitment to the coaching staff. Strong and Beckner have expressed interest in possibly playing together at the next level.
