Back in ’94, IIRC, a tornado crossed 169 highway and made a direct hit on Nowata, OK high school (school was out, no one was hurt).
A couple of weeks later I drove to Tulsa to visit big sis and when I got to the part of 169 the tornado crossed there was about a ¼ mile section that had the top inch or so of pavement skinned off. When I say skinned that’s probably not accurate, it was more likely gravel blasted off.
So yea, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton are going to ride one of those things out in a wood shed by strapping themselves to well pipes. It could happen.
