As crazy as it sounds, I think the egos are even more out of control now than ever making it harder for coaches. A lot more kids coming into the league now that aren't ready plays a part in that (thanks to the one and done, not all are like that though, but heck most don't even make it in the league 5 years).

That's where I would favor the old NBA. The teams today don't play the team basketball. Raw talent wise it's very impressive right now though.
