The PAC footprint covers six states. They have the flagship in all six.
The B1G covers nine states. They have nine flagships.
SEC covers 11 states with 10 flagships.
The Big 12 would cover 7 states with 4 flagships. It would also have two groupings of non-contiguous states. It currently has one grouping and two islands of one school each.
It kind of makes sense if the Big 12 is willing to call itself what it is...something between a mid major and a power conference.
