If the guy can play football, I don't care if he's gay or not, I want him on my team. If he sucks (at football), then I don't want him on my team. Very simple.
Anyone who feels differently is ignorant. People are born gay and don't have any control over it. People who are ignorant are born ignorant and don't have any control over it.
I hope whoever the guy is that comes out is a well known player and not some practice squad guy.
