Green Bay has a young team. They are rebuilding. If Brett does step down then they do not have a quarterback going into next season. Green Bay has a few starters that will be coming back from injuries next year. The defense in Green Bay was actually not the problem this year. It was much like the one that the Chiefs had. They had a good DC that has a pretty good system. Like the Chiefs the D was young and did not have quite enough talent. The reason that Sherman was fired was because the GM wanted a reason to get rid of him and twelve losses was the perfect excuse. He can also watch Brett retire and try to implant his draft pick and take this team over. They only had one bad loss. It was a really bad loss. They were in every single other game that they played. That does not look like a team that gave up on their coach. It looked more like a team that stayed the same and saw most of the league improve enough to get past them. It looked like a team that allowed their two All Pro Guards leave to go to other teams to get some money. Their replacements could protect their quarterback, but they could not make gaps for the backs to get through.
