Leinart and Sanchez didn't and don't love football.
Barkley loves football and loved USC so much that he spurned the NFL, where he would have been a Top 3 pick, to return for his fourth season.
I'm not predicting that Barkley will be a superstar QB but the love of football and character issues will not prevent him from doing so.
