Sign solid vet QB to back up Smith..Quinn or Stanzi won't cut it...and being that Smith is a runner, he's more liable to get hit, with that comes more possibility of getting injured...so having a solid backup QB is even more important when you have a guy like Smith starting for you.

Geno isn't a runner. He is a pocket passer that can move if he needs to.
