Its not a life or death thing. But I would make sure you get it done in the first 1000 rounds or so.

Definitely will. I want to put a hundred or two rounds through it stock, then put the buffers on and see if I can feel an appreciable difference.
I found a set on ebay for $8 inc shipping and picked them up on the quick.
