You don't let him start that inning period. He's a marginal pitcher his third time through the lineup and there are several better pitchers in the bullpen. Then, when we need a strikeout he brings in a contact pitcher when DPs are mostly luck depending on where the ball is hit.
He's a goddamned idiot and it just cost this team a run it can't afford to give up.
