Yeah and he has one last one to cling to. He probably won't take it anyways. The whole point is that Pioli only has a very slim chance of returning next season, but his ONLY chance will be with Quinn. If he goes with Cassel he is basically saying he is going down with the ship. I wouldn't think Pioli would abide by some kind of code of honor to stick with Cassel through the end of the season. When push comes to shove, despite his obsession with Cassel, even Pioli has to know it's now or never for him to let RAC not start Cassel. He probably couldn't do it on his own, but with Cassel's injury he can sell it as Quinn playing because of injury, not because of Cassel's poor play.
