They really should be able to distinguish between single and multi-players.
I will NEVER play a multi-player game. I have no interest in it whatsoever. And I don't give two ****s about other players' stats, nor do I care what they think of mine. And it's bullshit that I have to be logged into some goddamn server every second I'm playing a single player game.
