Using a "win now" as a justification for getting Mr Mediocre in his late 20s to be your QB is the silliest shit I've ever heard.

31 teames won't win the SB next season. It is overwhelmingly likely that the Chiefs will be one of those teams. That is even true for the teams that DO have a top 5 QB.

What most people here want is the shot at a very good (not even "elite", necasarily) QB that will be here for a decade. If the team can stay in the playoff mix (the other end of the playoff mix, not the WC weekend then home) for the majority of that decade then at least there's a shot that things will work the way they are supposed to work for one of those years and you might get your hands on some silverware.

If "win now" means 9-7, then yeah, draft the tackle.
