We've been told that potty training boys is more difficult than girls, for whatever reason.
I just take it all in stride. As I mentioned earlier, I've got a mesh retractable gate for our playroom, the entrance of which is about 15 foot from the kitchen. I'll leave the playroom and my 1 year old will sit at the gate and cry and cry and cry until I return. I'm usually just getting her bottle or juice or refilling iced tea or something and I'm only gone for less than a minute, but she's a blubbering mess.
Me? I can't stop laughing. Seriously. I told my Mom this just last week and she said "Oh, I don't think I could laugh! I'd feel so sad for the baby and it always stresses me out when babies cry.". My reply was "She's in a safe zone with a 47" LCD TV showing Mickey Mouse. I'm 15 feet away, get her bottle. She's not in the wilderness, not being attacked by animals and isn't starving. It's irony at its finest".
My Mom said "Wow, that's a great attitude! It's nice that it doesn't stress you out. That's great!".
I know.
