I have noticed this a lot watching Alex over the years in NY. Especially when he feels like he is getting heat from a crowd, he makes all buddy buddy with everyone. The umps, the other team, ect. He won't really argue with the umps in those situations and I knew if he got hit he wouldn't charge.
I used to defend Alex when other Yankee fans gave him shit, but after this saga I don't feel for him at all. That play still got my blood boiling too. I love how Sox fans seem to ignore the players on their team that took roids. Does Dempster throw at Ortiz in the locker room?

I always love when people say "hometown scorekeeper". Do people not realize it will end up hurting the pitcher's stats?

They all went nuts and gave him amp'd up high fives for his HR. They clearly were happy it happened, and not just because it helped the score. ARod made it clear from his reaction that he wasn't going after Dempster. Do we even know that some Yankees didn't come out of the bench?
