If indeed in this FO's opinion Foles does have a high ceiling I think the Chiefs will pursue Alex Smith to start while developing Foles. The Geno or bust crowd will hate it but I'm willing to defer to Reid and Dorsey's qualified expertise and give them the benefit of the doubt (for now) if they go this way.
But if this is the way things will go down I think they will keep drafting young QBs (rounds 3, 4ish) in the next several years in case Foles hits a snag in his development.
