I'm also curious why M$ would "repair" my old unit instead of sending me a new one. Why would they take the time to gut my console, replace the parts, and then ship it back to me? At the rate that these machines come in, I KNOW, they're getting them in and shipping new/refurbs back to the customers BEFORE they even look at the broken/RROD machines.

Oh of course they are. They say they are saving you time by sending you a new unit, and even register the new serial number under your account. And that's just bullsh*t. I take care of my console, I don't throw things at it or slam it around, I don't have animal hair in my house, so I just love the thought of sending my XBox off and getting one some douche has thrown down a stair case and is loaded with cat hair or some sh*t.
