Between the two... why? Don't get me wrong I LOVE Escobar. Dude is everything we've wanted and needed in a ss since Patek and he's signed for a good while yet. However Perez has the talent to basically re-define the position in comparison to other catchers over the last several years, plus he can hit for both average and power it looks like.
Both players are jersey-worthy... just curious why it would be cut and dried to go Esky for you.

Oh, my opinion isn't really worth anything. I'm a casual fan at best. But Escobar is just one of the funnest players to watch in baseball. He plays defense than anyone I've seen in a long time. I know Perez is damn good, but I don't know enough about the nuances of the catcher position to be as big a fan of him as I am of Escobar.
