I've never in my ****ing life heard of a QB who throws into out-of-reach places as "throwing a guy open". If you want to claim it's all semantics, then I'll ignore this part of the conversation and ask you this question.
Wouldn't a QB who "throws his receivers open" that way be throwing the ball into a.... oh, what's the word... it's a confined space.. a little hole... gee, what's the word I'm looking for?
