Among all the greats in the game, John Elway is one of the rare exceptions that managed to win the big one beyond his prime years.

Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Joe Montana were unable to match that.

You have about the same hope of winning a SB with Alex Smith after the age of 33 as you do of winning a lottery with a ticket you picked out of the trash.
