Look. I love NFL...and outside of College Basketball, it's my favorite sport to watch.
While the OP may have been a bit over dramatized, I do think there is some legit problems with the NFL experience, from a fan perspective, that may impact it's popularity over the next decade:
A billion commercials, too many ridiculous penalties, no flow to the game, Sunday Ticket, ticket, parking, beer and food prices, ridiculous rules, etc.
Now, so that I am fair, I'll bitch about the Soccer product:
Faking injuries, corruption in FIFA and referees, only the refs know the end of the game (stop the clock on injuries and out of bounds, and that would stop), the dates for games routinely go up against NFL or other sports (driven by FIFA I believe), etc. etc.
