I'm not saying that the Big 12's turnaround isn't based in luck or happenstance. They had a lot of things break right for them. But in the end, what you have now is a conference that's highly unlikely to completely crumble in the foreseeable future. I wouldn't have been able to say that confidently a year ago.

Texas will continue to rule the roost, but I don't think they wield absolute power like they might have 6-8 months ago.
