Furthermore, there are more than enough shows/movies that skip time frames continuously. They show one element of the story from moment A-D, another angle from A-B, and the last angle from C-E. if you stop trying to apply linear thinking to the story and just take each character as a book, or story in its self, then it may not be such a huge problem.
For example: the scene where I have heard the jet pack reference the most was where Varys wound up on the ship with Dany after being in Dorne. How was Danny sailing with Dornish ships if Varys couldn't make it to her in time? Even if there weren't Dornish ships there, what frame of reference do you have to show that the scene we last saw Danny in didn't occur six months before her sailing with Varys?
I will be a bit annoyed if..

Jon travels from Winterfell to Dragonstone to the Wall and back to KL in the span of 7 episodes. I'm usually pretty forgiving with the Westeros Express, but that's a bit much.
