I'm not willing to go that far.
I thought Kap did some nice things. I thought he escaped the pocket a couple times and kept drives alive.
But I knew it was going to be a long day when he breaks the pocket, throws a strike to Kyle Williams, and he drops it. WIDE OPEN.
Vance McDonald is just plain not ready, the guy didn't know where line up, who to block, when to block, he cant really catch either.
You can tell he misses Crabtree for sure. Crab is the type of guy that when he's covered, he's open. I don't think he trusts anybody else to make those type of plays. Especially with VD out.
That being said, no excuses. He's the QB. He's gotta figure something out.
I hold him to the same standard I held Alex to for all those years, nothing changes, we need results.
We can't just not throw anybody the ball until Crabtree/Manningham gets back. Maybe Patton needs to get Kyle's minutes. Although he had a drop too.
Maybe we need to run the ball 30 times and play ball control, I don't know.
We're playing with one hand behind our back for sure. But we're not the first team to be put in that situation.
Kap's my QB. I'm riding with him till the wheels fall off. I just hope that's not on Thursday. LOL.
