Hardline makes killstreak rewards require 1 less kill.
Hardline Pro makes each 2 assists count as a kill towards your killstreak.
Dead Silence Pro makes it so you are silent when running around, and you do not take any fall damage. You would not believe how many people can hear your footsteps while you are running around and use that as a radar to come hunt you down, expecially if they are using turtlebeach headphones.
All perks are useful for something; it just depends on your play style and what game type.
Blastshield is great for sitting on flags during domination.
Marksman is great for sniping.
