My front door is completely glass. We don't even put a curtain on it, so when someone walks up to the front door they can't help but peer in. It's completely clear glass, just like a window.

It's a really old door (100 years), so we aren't going to change it. It kind of worried me for a while that we were a little too visible and that the house was too visible when we were gone, but it doesn't seem to be a problem, and I like the light and visibility.

Your door seems to be mostly clouded glass (or whatever it's called). I wouldn't see where that would even be an issue, since no one can see through it.

In terms of energy, I'm sure the glass is worse than using all wood, but I have no idea what the actual impact is on our utility bill.
