Crazy thing happened in our league. Anyone ever see this happen before?

Going into Monday night Team A is up by 1.5 points with only a defense left to play. Team B has no remaining players left so Team A pulls it's defense as to avoid the possibility of putting up a negative number.

Now Thursday ESPN updates the scores and adds 2 points to Team B's total giving him the win by .5 pts, where as team A would have won if the score was updated on Monday and left the Giants defense in since they scored 4 pts.
