I don't blame you. As I mentioned earlier, strippers (and from what you're describing, escorts) have a different "self-worth" than porn stars, in my experience.
These women that are "Porn Stars", like Sunny Leone, Jill Kelly, Jenna Jamison, Kimberly Kane, so on and so forth truly see themselves as "International Stars". Their movies make millions, their work is seen worldwide and in nearly every way, they truly are "Stars".
That's a different stratosphere than the chick working at the local strip club to support her kids because her Baby Daddy ran off or because she was sexually abused as a child.
